I want to begin by saying this: If you read my intro, you will know I used to be in the authoritative role when it comes to forums. But what I didn't put in there, is each time I've tried to join a board run by someone else, I've infiltrated my way of doing things onto the staff. Although my heart's been in the right place, (and this hasn't happened all the time) I've gotten a little carried away at a few places... I don't want to do that here. I'm just going to let you do your thing, and if I like it, I'll stay. Simple as that.
With that being said, I do want to do what the title says.. But that's what I'm asking for. A help board, a "Support" board. You'll see on ProBoards Support they have a whole board dedicated to people seeking guidance and clarity on the forum and what they're trying to do, and this is what I want to add to this forum.
Basically, a member could come on the board and say something as simple as "I don't know how to put an image in my signature".. You would then come on and aid them, helping them get the photo they want in their signature, just like you have. This makes them feel included and apart of the group, and just think.. If someone helps you out, you'll remember their deed, and you'll want to repay them in anyway possible.... thus comes an active member for the forum.
I hope this goes through, as I see nothing wrong with it. The worst that'll happen is a member comes on and asks something you don't know (rarely happens), and you have to go to ProBoards Support for their help in the matter.
Plus, you wouldn't have to run it all the time. I'm not going to overstep my bounds here, and let me know if I'm doing so, but if I get on and see a person posted 9 minutes ago a thread on the issue above or something I'm familiar with and capable of helping, I'll be able to step up and help you guys and the member out, getting the situation solved.
